About the Authors
Martin A. Lee is the co-author of Unreliable Sources: A Guide to Detecting Bias in News
Media (Lyle Stuart). His writing has appeared in Newsday, Rolling Stone, Village Voice,
Spin, the San Francisco Chronicle, and Le Monde Diplomatique. His forthcoming book
on the international resurgence of neofascism and neo-Nazism will be published by
Little, Brown in the spring of 1997. Lee has been interviewed on CBS 48 Hours and
CNN's International Hour. He lectures frequently at colleges an universities on several
topics, including Acid Dreams: The CIA, LSD and the Sixties Rebellion.
Bruce Shlain is the author of Oddballs and Baseball Inside Out. He has written for the
New York Times, Rolling Stone and several other publications.
